Mona hosted our third women's writing and discussion workshop in Narrandera in April, and what a turn out.
Eleven women attended, some already accomplished writers, many established community leaders and all ready to challenge one another.
From poetry exploring our internal worlds to criticising the lack of compassion in modern Australian leadership, what was visible among the group was the priority to bring everyone along together as we explored different, at times conflicting, persectives and ideas.
For the Mona team it was a pleasure to be in the company of women with such illuminating opinions and staunch passions. We left the day energised to forge ahead with our mission knowing there are so many women in rural towns who will change the world for their communities, when they are finally given a microphone.
Thanks to Western Riverina Arts and the NSW Government for their support of our Narrandera Workshop.
